| War
memorial on Peel Hill
Every year on 11th November the
Chairman of the Trust lays a wreath on the stone memorial on the
side of Peel Hill in memory of the servicemen from Peel who died
in
the 2nd World War.
This monument was jointly commissioned by the
Peel Royal British Legion and the Trust in 1995. The Peel Town
Commissioners have now installed a hand rail
to aid access up the steep steps. We have also asked the Forestry
Board if they could look into the health of the 25 trees, as
one or two look as if they need replacing.
